~Hair Removal By Electrolysis Is A PROCESS. It Does NOT Happen Overnight. It Takes A Plan~

How Long Will It Take?

This is a hard question to answer as each person has a different growth pattern. Depending on the part of

the body, there can be 500 to 1,000 hair follicles per square inch. Many factors influence hair growth: heredity, hormones, certain medications, stress, the quantity and structure, how long the hair has been there, and previous methods of removal. It takes 4 to 6 weeks for a new hair to grow past the surface of the skin. If you tweeze, wax, or thread just 1 hair a day, that is 30+ hairs in one month's timeMost clients return once or twice a week for an initial clearing of hair. Then every or every other week as needed with eventually once a month then down to when a straggler is found.  The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person, so you will need to return for several electrolysis visits. Success will greatly depend on sticking to a plan in order to treat the hair in the needed cycle of growth. The hair you see is not all the hair you have. Hair grows in cycles. That's why it takes more than one appointment to permanently clear an area. But the unwanted hair will be gone forever once the series of treatments is complete. Each treatment lasts between 15 and 60 minutes. Smaller sessions more often for a better result with less recovery time is recommended.

Does Electrolysis Hurt?

Because the hair follicle is a natural opening of the skin, the insertion of a sterile probe is not felt by the client. The level of discomfort will depend on your own pain tolerance and the area that is being treated. Since a network of nerve endings surrounds each hair follicle, you will feel a tingling or a slight stinging sensation. Areas like the upper lip, neck, and groin, usually have the most discomfort, while the cheeks and chin are often tolerated the best. Individual tolerances vary greatly. Adjustments can be made which will help to make the treatment comfortable and tolerable. The discomfort from the treatment is quick, and then it's over. Even the most sensitive person should be able to tolerate the treatments.

Electrolysis is the only treatment method that is FDA approved for the permanent removal of unwanted hair and the only method that can permanently treat every hair, regardless of the color of your hair and skin. It works by inserting a probe the size of your hair into the follicle of a hair, and treating it to destroy the papilla, which supplies the hair with the nourishment it needs to grow. Once the papilla has been destroyed, hair can never grow in that follicle again.

Micro-Channeling (Collagen Induction Therapy) also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which are the proteins that give the skin its strength and elasticity.

Collagen production decreases as people age. A study found that collagen content peaks between the ages of 25–34, then declines by about 25% over 40 years. Collagen production starts to decrease in the mid-to-late 20s, and people start losing 1% of their collagen per year after that. By age 40, collagen levels have dropped significantly. Microneedling leads to reorganization of old collagen fibres and laying down of new collagen, elastin, and capillaries leading to the effect of skin tightening.-(National Library of Medicine). Four microneedling sessions one month apart showed up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin deposition at six months postoperatively. Micro-Channeling stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which are the proteins that give the skin its strength and elasticity. While your skin is healing, collagen is produced and rises to the surface of the skin. The accumulation of new collagen fills in fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, and shrinks pores.  Because Micro-Channeling (Dermal Needling) uses the body’s repair systems to improve the skin’s appearance, results are not immediate. And while you may see some improvements following one session, most people need a series of three or four treatments to maximize their results. Micro-Channeling is minimally invasive and has little downtime. How long your results last will depend on your age, skin type, and how well your skin responds to treatment. While Micro-Channeling permanently increases the amount of collagen in the treated areas, the aging process will continue to occur. To see results, you should get at least 3–4 Micro-Channeling treatments that are spaced out every 4–6 weeks. Due to the nature of the treatment, your skin needs ample time to heal and produce collagen between treatments. For the average person, that will be around the one month mark.
